Just look around! Slowly, all of our rights are being taken away from us. We can't even say certain things without getting questioned. I do not like feeling paranoid and insecure that someone maybe watching me AND listening on to my personal conversations.

Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause (immigrants)
Supremacy of the Military (an army of one anyone?)

That was why theywas challenged in the courts. But why even brother, obviously you listen to the BS that is on your Americanized television set.

"The true patriot does NOT love his government. The true patriot LOVES his COUNTRY and WATCHES his government." - Author unknown
the TRUE patriot not only questions government corruption, deception, lies, and other malfeasance – but also criticizes and challenges the government on such issues! The phony FALSE "patriot" not only refuses to question his government, much less criticize or challenge it, but he also ridicules or condemns the TRUE patriot who has the courage to speak out against government wrongdoing! The FALSE "patriot" often acts this way because of ignorance. Often it is also his laziness, apathy, and complacency that keep him from taking a little time to investigate government wrongdoing. - Darryl Eberhart

I agree it is. The Congress passed The Military Authorizations Act which spells the end of Habeas Corpus (the right of any arrested person to be produced in court to hear what their charges are), and will now classify anyone as an enemy combatant if they so wish. Once they strip you of your citizenship and label you a combatant, the van will come snatch you and you'll never be heard from again,
The Patriot Act is fascism, police sobriety checkpoints is fascism, and we can see many other examples in our country today. Check out www.infowars.com for more.
It is not paranoid to educate yourself at your own pace about the New World Order and the Police State takeover.

the U. S. isn't a democracy and not in any respect has been. it quite is a Republic. in case you probably did the learn, you may discover that Fascist is the term used via the two facets in politics to declare the different is incorrect. there will be a transformation in 2008, whether the Democrats be in a position to shoot themselves interior the foot... lower back. Republican leaders are clever sufficient to correctly known to no longer post one among those quite radical president lower back. yet no, that is not any longer a fascist state.

Your right slowly we are being made to do what THEY want not what we want. They keep making new laws but who really votes on those laws? Not us. Did we vote on the new cell phone law? No! They decide whats good for us, we don't usually even have a say.
But hey. We are better off than a lot of other countries. We just need to be careful not to turn into them.

Benjamin Franklin once said that he who is willing to give up his freedom for some temporary security deserves neither freedom nor security.
The Bush administration has done nothing but take away the freedom of privacy, the freedom to speak our minds, the freedom to visit other countries, the freedom to hear the truth from our Government, and a miriad of other inalienable rights that our forefathers gave us in the American Constitution.
Bush has ushered in Nazi-ism with his condoing torture, wire-tapping Amercan citizens, spying on American citizens, marching it's citizens off, in the middle of the night, to Guantanamo, never to be heard from again, etc. etc.
The Devil is spreading the smell of sulpher all over the U.S.of A.

No it isn't. Look at fascist states then look at your own life. Do you really see yourself as the people in those fascist states do? Do you really feel as restricted as they seem to be? In America's past, we've come a lot closer to loosing our way of life and we've always bounced back. If you look at some European democracies, you'll see things like state owned media and other things that are less free than us and yet they are still democratic. This is just fear of the unknown talking. Just give it time and you'll see that this country is just fine.

We are not turning into a police state. Open your eyes and look around you. Do you see your neighbors being dragged into the streets? Is there a single dominant party? If you want to talk about police states talk to a North Korean.

If this were truly a Facist nation wouldn't you have been located and shot for asking such a Stupid question?
And please explain what rights you believe you personally have lost?
As far as personal phonecalls, if you took your head out of your *** an did a little research you would know the NSA was monitoring calls coming into this country and calls going overseas (international calls), not Domestic ones.
