Many websites are scamming actors by charging them for auditions and casting calls listings. Casting calls do not cost those websites a penny! So why do they charge actors for it? We are making a research to see - Which websites except http://www.actorspages.org give 100% FREE auditions and casting calls information???

Yep, I am never paying a penny for casting websites. Has anyone ever landed a job from one of these? Doubtful. An agent takes 10 percent after you book a job- period.

These so called website that chase or lure newcomer's to the industry are scams. the site are suppose to be free for any acts like actors/models/ musicians. If you google unions like 'AFTRA' they will have links connecting you to a variety of other essential sites that will benefit you craft, if you come across any agency(ies) that charge you up front get out of there and report them to the unions, all agencies are supposed to follow a "code of ethics". This "code of ethics" is to protect you and the legitimate agencies that do exist. Remember a background/ talent agent only takes 10-18% of you earnings which are made when you are sent out to a location. If you don't work, you don't get paid... if you don't get paid, they don't make money and they'll lose clients. Although casting agents are a different story they can charge for pics but that's all!!!

The websites are taking advantage of "wannabe" actors that have no idea how the industry works. Most actors know which publications and websites post free auditions.
