Whole fruit is SO much better than juice. Juice can fill a baby's tummy, meaning they consume less milk or solid food. It can also cause dental problems.
There is information about the pros and cons of giving your baby juice here - http://www.homemade-baby-food-recipes.com/giving-baby-juice.html

Actually this is a good thing! A child should consume I believe it is 3-4 fruits/veggies daily but, what are the odds of the juice that a child wants to be 100% juice? Yeah, I know! Juicy Juice and Welch's are the top two that I can think of and they are rarely on sale; but, the cute little kool-aid juices are always on sale.... convient and easy cleanup! Oh, sorry but, back to the juice(smile!), juice actually can cause tooth decay in young children whether its 100% or not. They only recommend 8oz. to toddlers, I do know that-below the age of 5. Well, I hope this little bit of info help you out some. I wish you and your family well!

Absolutely it's okay that she doesn't drink fruit juices. The best drink for babies until 2 years old according to the World Health Organization is mother's milk. Otherwise, formula is fine and water is just great. As long as your baby is getting nutrition from formula and is eating some baby foods by this point she should be just fine. There is no rule that says your baby "should" drink juice. In fact juice should be really limited due to its sugar content.

Honestly, it's not all that vital. If you're concerned talk to your doctor, but for now as long as she's eating fruits and veggies I wouldn't worry. Fruits and Veggies are less processed than juice anyway, so they're better for you. Have you tried mixing them with water? I know that we started the baby at a 50/50 mix, but even doing 2 oz juice with 4 oz of water to get her started may help. Just a suggestion. Good luck!

My son didn't really like juice much at first. Just don't quit trying altogether. Eventually she'll get use to it and drink it. Try every few days or something, and water it down so the taste isn't that strong. My son didn't really start drinking juice regularly until about 8-9 months. Good luck

Fruit juice is not necessary at all, especially if she eats fruits and vegetables well.
If your baby doesn't want it, there's no need to force it. Perhaps later on she will enjoy drinking juice.

I agree. If your baby is eating veggies and fruits she doesn't need juice. It not only promotes tooth decay but can make the baby gain weight.
Sounds like you're doing a great job!!

Bless your child for not liking juice yet. Since she eats fruits and veggies, do not worry about the juice thing. Try water if it is hydration you are worried about. Talk to your pediatrician if hydration becomes a problem.

So long as she is eating them its not all that important. If you want her to get some anyhow my peditriction reccomended to us to use juice instead of formula to mix the cereal. It will give it more flavor and less fuss over the juice.over time put in less cereal until you are left with juice. Also remember at that age it is supposed to be cut in half with water to keep from overloading their little bodies with frutose.Keep trying and keep up the good work.
