Statistically people find their partner annoying after 7 years and second thoughts start to enter their minds.
It is normal behaviour, you can't like everything about someone. Something will tick you off. If you did like everything about someone, it is because they are your clone and you are from the future.

Usually at this stage in a relationship it transitions from the lust and honeymoon type of feelings and moves toward something deeper and abiding. However, some routine sets in due to job and maybe new children in the mix. At this point it is really easy to become bored by being just mommy & daddy. A longing for a more fun time and a time without so many responsibilities. It doesn't have to culminate in an affair or a divorce but many succumb and instead of sticking it out; they just pack it in.

Before divorce made separation quite as easy, a remarkable # of men had affairs at the 7 year mark. Sometimes this reflected the wife's increased attention to children, leaving him unspoiled. In other cases it became a matter of "needing" a little something to spice up life and prove I still have what it takes. It can come from a perceived boredom, "I've seen what I'm going to get here." And finally, it can be an expression of - "I'm locked in and getting older, have I missed something?"

Seven years into a relationship, boredom may set in and spouses may tend to "stray". If you like Marilyn Monroe, she did a movie by the same name.

It used to mean that most married people tend to stray after seven years. I think that time span is much shorter these days.

Its when your settled into your marriage and the day in day out grind, and things seem mundane and ho-hum. Some people will look for an escape and contemplate straying.

just a lame reason to have an affair, the wife knows you, the new one doesn't know you yet.so you can be mr. wonderful to the new one until that gets old too. just a reason for someone to get out of a committment because things are not going their way, and they are too selfish to work on problems, its easier for some to just change people.
