You must have sulphur in your water. Mine smells like chlorine but I've noticed that people with wells instead of city water have water that smells kind of funny like you describe. I use a brita filter pitcher for my drinking water. Maybe you should too.

You may need a water softener or other filtration system. Either that or a chicken fell down the well and died. Yum!

Smells like rotten eggs to me and always has little white fish swimming around in it.
