I've just been thinking a lot lately. I'm a Christain but i'm like.. how do you REALLY know God is real, or made everything? How did we REALLY get here? What if the Bible is just a book that someone wrote? Is there life on other planets? If there is, is it just like here. What if theres like more than the... 9 planets or whatever?? I'm so confused!! I really wanna know!!

I know no one really knows. But what do you think and why?

Oh yes your asking the right questions! But your wrong! Someone does know, and he will answer you if you ask sincerely in faith, patiently waiting for the answers! Pray as you read the Bible. Asking that he guide you and help you understand. Ask all these questions and more. And then go about your daily life as you ordinarily would. Watch what happens. The answers will come. And then - YOU will REALLY KNOW that God is real. I'd like to hear of your experiences as you get your answers. Email me if you'd like! Enjoy the ride!!

The chances that life is abundant in the universe is greater than not.
There are probably many planets (out side of our solar system) with life forms and even civilizations. Of course we've yet to find them but the odds are that they're there.

//Nothing to do with science warning//

Many Christians, unfortunatly, are ignorant on their own religion when it comes to the bible.

The bible is a compilation of different "books" which were written at different times...sometimes thousands of years apart. Befor the actual bible existed, there were thousands of religious scriptures that early christians used and they were not compiled into one book. Early christians did not have bibles. After much debate, the church of Rome (an entity which now the Roman Catholic Chuch), decided that for the sake of unity and the spreading of the basic tenants of christianity, a book should be compiled from a select few scriptures. They chose the ones which they felt were the most relavant and compiled them in chronological order into what is today known as the bible. This is known at the canonization of the bible. It's interesting to note that "The Book of Mary" didn't make it into the bible because it would have been the first book in the NT based on chronological order and the church felt the first book should talk about Jesus.

But anyway, you don't have to be an athiest to be a scientist.

Some books which did make it into the bible had been edited by the church befor hand, which is why you may occasionally come across what appears to be discontinuity from one verse to the next. I hate to say it but the bible was not spared from Roman politics either.

SOME PROOF THAT THE BIBLE IS REAL

It is sad that people will come on here and start busting out on the bible. That it isn't scientifically correct when there are more proof that the bible is real, that god exist then there are that say he dosen't. I Know belief in god is based of faith not proof but that dosen't mean there isn't proof god exists. Matter of fact I will give you some basic proofs.

Prophecy is one of the best ways to prove the bible. Another is sicence in the feild of archeology. Yet another is historic accounts not in the bible that state there was those people and that they really existed. For example there are texts found that state that jesus was a good man and that his body missing was a mystery to all. That some believe that he was rasied form the dead.

These are proofs, but it is said that they have ears and can not hear, they have eyes but can not see. God knows how to hide his word until he feels it is ready to be made known this was done when jesus came about and stuned the teachers of his day with his superior knowledge. Now how can people miss this stuff when they read the bible? Easy they are NOT there turely seeking god and therefore are not getting what they are seeking. Us believers are promised the gift of the holy spirit. You who say that you have read the bible or study it and say that you can't find proofs is because you do not have the holy spirt to make things known to you.

As for those who say they knew god and but quit believing in him are lairs. God says he will always go after his childern. That not one will be lost. If you where truely saved then you would not be lost.(there is sometimes the fact that some go away but god will get them if they are truely his.).

God was and is and is to come... he has always been and will continue to be. He was here before time and will remain until after the end of time and forever. We were made in his image to be his companion and friend. No where in the Bible does it say we are alone but neither does it say that we aren't. Don't you think if there were more life out there he would have told us so. There are more planets out there other than our solar system. The Galaxy is infinite. I really do not believe there is life out side of us. I don't know why it is just a gut feeling. I would love to believe in it but just can't. If the Bible is just a book that someone wrote I choose to believe in it. I have faith that it is true. That is the key to it all FAITH. Without faith we have nothing other than a book and a make believe life with no meaning. I choose faith!

It is interesting and amazing that, if you correlate the events that scientist theorize that occurred and the order that they theorize that they happened in to what is described in the Bible, they are almost the same. How could the people who wrote the Bible 2000 years ago have known?

The Big Bang theory suggest that in the beginning there was this little ball of energy that expanded, cooled, tranformed into matter, and created everything as in, "and the Lord said, "Let there be light"". And then He created the stars and the earth and the moon, etc. It's actually a little spooky when you think about it.

Knowledge doesn't neccessarily disprove what you already know. Just learn more. It's OK to just not know.

From a scientific perspective, in which empirical evidence must support a proposition, there is no evidence of any god existing.

However, since the existence of a god is based on faith, and there is no scientific way of disproving a god, it's up to the individual to determine whether he/she is willing to have faith.

As far as the odds of life on other planets, see the attached link.

You are a manifestation of Gods mind ... you are totally His child and all of reality is God. Simple!

Physics seeks the basic building blocks of matter ... the basic building block of reality and matter is God. Science is just starting to prove it. ( Quantum Physics Etc. )

The Bible, and all other scriptures are just books written by humans , who else, when they were inspired by something beyond them ... they are beautiful ... read and understand them all.

Yes, Gods mind is more than infinite and there is life all over our universe, like grass growing in sidewalk cracks ... don't underestimate Him ... He loves and is you but you're not the only one.

Christ was Gods son, and He ( Jesus ) knew it ... You are his child too ... just try to know it !

Belief is and should be subject to reason, your doubts are perfectly normal and understandable. Most of us have them sometimes. Look straight at understanding the nature of the world and universe ... and you will find God.

God bless you, (good question thank you)
Jonnie

PS, They have recently discovered two new planets. We think. God doesn't mind that. Why would you?

First of all....the Catholic church has for centuries denied scientific advances and discorveries. Most of all the stars in the sky have a planetary system, similar to ours. Thus the possibilities for life to exist somewhere else is huge. There is even a formula to describe those chances but i dont have it right now.
And by the way, the most aproved theory is that people is a specie that evolved from primate a few millions of years ago. And that life started in this planet due to the reaction of energy and some elements.

the thing is that u don't know. and u never really will. but that's what faith is. believing in something or someone even tho there is no proof there to back it up and support it. u have to make ur own decision. do the research urself and figure out how u feel about it and make a decision on whether u want to believe in it or not.

if it helps, my own opinion is that yes, there is a god and that he helped create us and that he's there to help when we ask for it. but i don't rely on him to tell me how to think. i think there is life beyond our solar system. and if there really is, maybe they just call him a different name. i don't plan on rejecting them, if they don't believe. i've always said that knowledge shouldn't be denied. i hope it helps.

oh and it's now 8 planets. pluto is no longer considered a planet but is now called a dwarf planet.

Ok,I'll try to answer your question. First off no one knows if there is a God or not. No one knows what caused the big bang theory. That's right! Theory and faith is all we have. No proof. As for life on other worlds, of course there is. We are not alone. That is how we got here and not from monkeys. As for the Bible, your right it was written by man and was meant to be used as some form of control of humanity. If no one had anything to believe in,then what's the purpose for being here? If you really want to know who God is,well it's DNA..
