If anyone knows who Gregory Peck was, he was the last real man as far as I am concerned. He would not watch cartoons, he could talk about things and still feel like a man. No I never met him, but... Nobody these days seems to remember integrity. When one is a whole human committed to being a grown up, cartoons are no longer that interesting. Don't get me wrong, I think the Simpson's are brilliant, but when there is a war going on and our fellow Americans are living each day not knowing if they will live or die, I'll take Chris Rock or some other reality for humor. I just feel like we all need to get our heads out of our !@#$ and wake up to the fact that we are not invincible. Integrity and intelligence do matter.

I gotta tell you, I used to think it was pretty odd.
However, I'm married to a man who does not like football, golf, fishing or hunting (and where I come from, you aren't considered a "man" if you don't like at least one of those). He does like video games, comic books, and cartoons, which I know makes him sound like a creepy geek, but he's not.
If he really enjoyed watching The Doodlebops, Bob the Builder, Thomas the Tank Engine or Dora the Explorer, the guy needs help. Spongebob Square Pants is kind of the-middle-of-the-line, somewhat, but not entirely, normal. I don't have a problem with grown men who watch certain cartoons, either on Comedy Central (even though I do have a problem with the cartoons themselves) or the Cartoon Network. Saturday mornings are a great bonding day for my husband and two little boys (and a great sleep-late day for me!), because they get up and eat cereal and watch Teen Titans and Batman cartoons. As long as I'm getting to sleep late, I'm not complaining one bit over my husband watching cartoons.

I watch Spongebob, Dora or whatever else with my oldest daughter for bonding purposes. On my own, I enjoy most of the adult-oriented cartoons like South Park, American Dad (I noticed that nobody here mentioned Harvey Birdman-Attorney at Law...what's wrong with you people?!?...lol) and things of that nature. I must also confess to being a fan of the old-time Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck cartoons for nostalgic purposes. I'd say that is why most grown men like cartoons.

My husband is 53 and enjoys The Simpsons, and South Park with our boys. My dad will sit down and watch cartoons with the grandkids. He especially likes Road Runner.
I don't think there is anything wrong with it and it can be a great opportunity for family time when the grown man is watching with the kids.

There is nothing wrong with it at all! I still watch cartoons every chance I get and I'm supposed to be a grown woman.

i'm no longer that previous yet i think of if thats what you get exhilaration from doing, there isn't any longer something incorrect with it :) do no longer hear to what others say- regardless of each and every thing, sketch artists like Warner Bros prbably enjoyed cartoons as a grown guy and that i'm particular there is many others who're basically too shy or admitting it. that's advantageous watching those solid previous cartoons that make you smile :)

I think cartoon are fun. life is so serious why not watch something that makes you smile. It is good quality time with the children also. I like the older ones like Tom and Jerry and Sylvester and Tweety bird. The Road Runner, Bugs Bunny and all the older ones without all the violence. I say enjoy.

Hey that's cool. Men tend to watch sports ALL the time. But when there's no sports at all, cartoons are the next thing to watch, and then comes NEWS.

I don't know of a truly successful GROWN man who spends time watching cartoons or playing video games. Some father's play video games with their children; however, as a successful father, I would be spending my quality time playing some physical sport outside or talking and learning one on one with my son.
