Over five years ago, in Middle school, I used to have a crush on this girl. I didn't know her at all. I didn't have any classes with her. I just saw her around in the halls and in some clubs. She also rode my late bus (the bus that takes you home if you stayed after for clubs), so I saw her there too occasionally.
Anyways, I never acted on it, and I haven't seen her in five years. But it sort of bugs me still, since I remember it and start thinking about it now and again. I kind of want to know if she knew I existed and what if.
So do you think I should let her know? I would be doing this through a popular social networking site.

Also, there is no potential for a relationship. She goes to a far away college now. I will probably never see her again in my life.

Hmm..:

Yes No
M 2 4
F 7 0

So 9 yes's versus 4 no's. Is there some sort of gender bias? I mean, would it be different if I were a girl and I had a crush on a guy?

This is real btw. I'm probably gonna do what popular opinion says at the end of the answering period.

I say go for it. The girl I had a crush on in High School went away to college. Not a day has gone by that I don't regret not telling her that I love her. So, don't wait. Contact her ASAP. Go on, do it! Don't waste another minute reading this. Just do it!!!!!

Everyone loves to find out that someone admired them. Dont expect her to respond in the same way or act on it now just let her know what you thought back then - I'd be quite in awe if someone ever said that to me all these years later just as a compliment you know.

in basic terms be trustworthy together with her. Ask her out on a date and allow her comprehend you have an interest romantically and prefer to get to renowned her. the only way you will comprehend is that in case you ask. And if shes not involved, then you definately can pass on.

Yeah, you should tell her... What have you got to lose? If she turns you down, it's not like your life is any worse.. Your still not with her, so life is the same. Most likely, she may accept a date with you... She may be thinking.. A date with this guy can't hurt, if I don't like him, we go our seperate ways, and on this date I may find that I do like him..

Just let her go man. Look for someone new who is attainable. The first step to healing a broken heart is letting go of the person who broke it.

Why bother? Are you expecting it to go somewhere? Are you interested in a relationship with this girl? If not, then I wouldn't. There's no point in telling her.

sorry bro, I say leave it alone and move on, and I only say that cause you constantly think about it and it's dragging you into the past and the what if's, and if she has a b/f and he catches wind of what your thoughts are (were), he will probably get jealous and want to stomp you....so look forward and good luck
