it should be the mother's choice and no one elses... I would never let someone tell me what to do with my child unless I totally agreed with them.

Is this a question? You've already judged everyone who disagrees with you, so I don't really think you are asking anything. I have a question for you, though. Do you think my cousin would have been better off being aborted than being adopted? Do you think my aunt is messed up in the head for raising an adopted daughter who is now a well-adjusted doctor with two children of her own? What about all those babies in China, etc., who will be raised in orphanages if no one adopts them? I don't really understand your thinking.

As for the woman giving the baby up, oftentimes it is the most loving act she can make. Especially these days when if she doesn't want to be bothered, all she has to do is abort the baby. A woman who goes through pregnancy and then gives her child up must really, really love her child and want the absolute best for him or her. It would save her a lot of trouble to just have the baby sucked out of her in the first couple of months of pregnancy.

That's a hard one. I can imagine how much the young girl would resent that. But realistically, how is she going to support that child? She can't even support herself yet.

As a mother of grown children, I have to say that was one of my real fears when they were in high school-- that one of them would accidentally get pregnant or get some girl pregnant. With our beliefs, we would have been obliged to step forward and raise the child to prevent abortion, and wow..... I just couldn't imagine starting THAT whole child-raising experience all over again at my age.

Try to look at it from both points of view. When a young girl has a baby, she may THINK she is going to take full responsibility, but she really can't. That baby becomes just another child in the household. And it's even WORSE, because there is always tension between the "child-mother" and the "mom-grandmother" -- something that lots of people deal with just fine.

But not everybody is able to give themselves that completely to parenthood. What a big job that is.

If you are very young, that is the best thing for that baby. I think you should be at least 16 before you can handle the responsibility of a baby. Consider all of the options and choose what's best for you.

i was adopted from birth and later found out that my birth mother was 16 when i was born. im sure that she had a lot of preasure from her family and friends to give me up. i have had a very good life and have had a lot of opertunitys that im sure that i wouldent have had with her. but does it make you wrong?? no we have to make our own desitions in our life, and to do the things that we think are right. no one can make us do anything that we truly dont want to do, its a choise that we make. i sure that th child will have a very good life with the parents that he/she has now, and would have had a good life with the birth mother as well. make your own choises in life, and remove the people in your life that try to make you do things that you dont agree with.....Stay Safe..Randy

the decision should defiantly be the moms! not anyone Else's.if the person decided to give up the baby to someone else who will take care of it, nuture it, and love it as their own...what's wrong with that?absolutly nothing!!!

it is the mothers choice. If she feels she isn't mature or responsible enough to care for the baby. but yes it is the mothers choice,, and it is a better choice than abortion.

I only think a person should get a abortion is if they were Raped or can not have the baby for health reasons
