Stretch marks are genetic, so if you're mother had them, you probably will, too. You can still use the cocoa butter. It might help with the itching as your skin stretches, but it won't prevent the stretch marks.

I started cocoa butter from the minute I knew I was pregnant. I ened up using it the whole time I was pregnant, I would put it on every night before I went to bed because I didnt like the greasiness. I have minimal stretch marks, so I believe it works quite well. I also used palmers cocoa butter, the palm and not the lotion.

Right away/now and frequently. I know it sounds like a hassle but at least twice a day.
Mineral oil also will help if you tire or can't get Cocoa Butter. The main thing is prevention. As your abdomen expands if you keep your skin moist/lubricated it will be less traumatic for it.

Think if your skin as a rubber band. If you put a lubricant on a band then stretch it it will be less likely to break and stretch easier. Or maybe even better think of putting lubricant on new shoes. It makes the leather/plastic softer and less likely to crack and be more of a comfortable fit.

Some people says it does, some othes that it doesnt. I started oiling once a day at about 3-4 months, and twice a day after 6 months. I also drank about 1 gallon of water a day to keep my skin moisturized and elastic.
Well, I had a 10lbs baby with a placenta weighing about 5 lbs, and I dont have a single stretch mark. I was so huge everybody kept asking me if I was having twins!
I used an oil blend called "Mother's Special Blend". You can find it at some health food stores, but here's the compagny's website in case you cant find it in stores in your area

I think that the best time to apply oil is after you shower/bathe. Your skin's pores are more open then and the oil will be better absorbed then. Also, if you feel your skin itching, I reccomend apply oil, or lotion if you are at work (your skin will absorb lotion faster and without greasing your clothes, it works for a quick fix untill you get home)

There is not guarantee that it will work but cant hurt. As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I started lathering up with the coco butter. Also drink plenty of water -- keep hydrated will also help your skin strech easier.

Im 28 weeks and havent had a stretch mark yet... good luck to you!

Start now, it is a good base to begin with before things stretch. You could alternate between cocoa butter and aloe vera. Congratulations BTW

Everyone is different. A lot depends on heredity and a lot depends on how much weight we gain and our skin type. I would put it on now and I would use different stuff. One good thing is olive oil. It is the best thing for skin and it is the oil that God meant when he said to anoint them with oil. so, use it at night while you sleep and on any part of your body that feels dry or tight. Good luck. Congrats!

You can start to do it now but i dont think it really works. Just make sure as soon as you have your baby breastfeed and EXERCISE! Breastfeeding will reduce your utrerus and the exercising will help to diminish the stretch marks.
Congratulations!

every day a couple times a day I did it all the time and if your tummy itches that means you need lotion and quick. After you take a shower squirt a little baby oil on a wash clothe and rub it on your belly and it is great for winter.
