the same thing happened to me but it was on the tongue of a pair of shoes (smh) did not know they put those things on shoes as well. i got the sneakers from value city. i realized this later that night and my son needed them for school the next morning. i just stomped on it several times and the thing came right off surprisingly lol.

I bought several items at a store once and the clerk overlooked one of the ink tags. The next time I was out I took the item and the receipt to the store and had it removed no problem.

I don't think you are going to have any luck. They really a secure. I used to have to remove them at the store I worked at and they were hard with the correct tools.
You really need the receipt and then take them back to where they were purchased. It's really the only safe way to do it. Yo don't want to ruin new clothes.

I wouldn't risk it. I'd probably ruin the pants. Is there any way you could pass the pants and receipt on to someone else and ask them to go to the store? Sorry I couldn't be of much more help.

Have the one who purchased them return to the store to get it removed. Sounds fishy.

Have her get the person who supposably bought them take it back to get it removed. Tough sh*t about the time....obviously she will have to wear something else until this 'gift' gets adjusted. It is VERY unlikely that the clerk 'forgot' to remove the tag.

You are lame if you think anyone will buy this crap. If the pants were purchased, someone somewhere will have a reciept.
