A Schelling eye test for vision acuity and a slit lamp exam by the Doc on call if you are in a rural setting in the local ER Dept.. A slit lamp for any abrasions or injury to the cornea. You did not say if this has affected you vision or not which the Schelling eye exam is used for. The ER Doc on call will probably have you make an appointment with an ophthalmologist if one is not on call where your hospital is. He will probably give you some Getamycin drops or Tobrex.
If you vision is not affected a moist warm cloth to the affected eye at night will help after 24 hours to dilate the blood vessels and allow the blood from the ruptured veins to re-absorb.
I have been an ER nurse and Supervisor for 12 years.

where did it hit? If it is the white part of the eye, the blood will absorb over time. If it hit in the black part, then you could have scratched the cornea, this can be very painful. You can try over the counter eye drops, they may help. Try covering both eyes with a cloth and try not moving them more than you have to. Any movement will irritate the scratch. You can take Advil or Tylenol for pain. The good thing is, eyes heal very quickly and by tomorrow it should be less painful. Try to avoid watching TV, working on the computer, or reading for the night. If it is still painful in the morning, you need to be seen by a doctor.

You should go to the doctor because it sounds like you have broken blood vessels which means the straw did some good damage and could very easily get infected. If your eye gets infected and is not treated your vision could be impaired for good.

this sounds like something that needs to be looked at in the e.r. if it were the straw that poked you and you experiencing severe pain and your eye has redness there is something wrong. you can develop infection and possibly loose your eye sight.

see an eye dr dpending on how hard your mom pushed you the damage may clear on its own or it may not. an ice cold compress(or some ice wrapped in a cold wet washcloth) on the eye may help a little

It's a bruise and there isn't much you can do. Guess you'll be brushing your teeth now, huh?
