In 1307 the then King of France, Philip IV, secretly ordered all the Knights Templar [they got their name from guarding the remains of the great Temple of Jerusalem (and while there doing some archeological excavation) during the Crusades] to be arrested and imprisoned on Friday the thirteenth, of October. The leaders were tortured in the style of the Inquisition, and the famous among them were burned by the side of the Seine, and their ashes scattered into the water so they might not be memorialized.. This handily wiped out the kings debt to the Knights Templar banking system.

well someone said something about the king ordered all the knights of somewhere dead,
i heard that 13 is unlucky because jesus had 13 people at the last dinner with him and knew one of them was against him or false - so when you see 13 its just unlucky or you know something bad is going to happen -

It doesn't mean a whole lot, although I think it came from the Jason movies. However, I think it's important that we have fun days where we can act superstitious to mix things up a bit. It is good for morale and gives people something they can talk about. It's especially cool this year because it's pumping everybody up for Halloween.

mine was great actually but its sort of lost it luster anyways. Before when it was in Oct. it would be spooky now its just "yeah so?"
