How many of you use foodstamps or wic and what is your race? I work at a grocery store and almost 95% of the people on food stamps are black and I want to know if it is like that everywhere. About 80% of the people who use wic are mexican or young trashy girls.

I don't have either but I happen to work at a groccery store and 95% of the women who come in and use that stuff are white. Guess it's just due to the area I live in. Get out of podunk, USA !

Sorry to be a bore,but what you are referring to is tantamount to racism!!
I know nothing about 'wic' although your reference to 'foodstamps' reminds me of rationing during WW2 (no, I wasn't around then, but it lasted until around 1952 or later) I very much doubt that the people using 'wic' are trashy or young Mexican girls. I think it's because they are simply poor because of the politics of your region ( dare I ask if you live on the border of Texas with Mexico?)

I don't use food stamps or wic, I'm multiracial (black, latino,and chinese) and I work for mine. I think it does depend on what location you live in who uses it more but it should not matter the race but they should not abuse it. I believe there are people who actually need them but then there are people who just make me sick. I see people in the store buying lobster and crab (expensive food), they have on expensive clothing, their hair is done, and their nails are well manicured. They have about 4 children (around the same age) with them all dressed in clothes that are too small or too big for them and they are dirty. Then they use the food stamps to pay for their food and walk out to a Lexus. I'm just saying if they have the money to do all that to themselves (and not thier kids) they should not be using food stamps and take that money and pay there way. There are people who really need it and the good have to suffer for the bad becasue people take advantage of the system, that goes for black, white, red, or whatever.

What's wic? I've heard of foodstamps, but we don't have that in Canada - or at least in Edmonton. We have the food bank n' stuff. I'm a white girl.
