Leave it on, buddy. If it gets out of control, you can always trim it, especially up near the neck.
I think trimming is a much better, middle ground to go. You don't have to do it everyday and you can pick and choose to trim the area you want to look more tidy. Guys that have unusually long or thick chest hair do this on a regular basis. It's just part of being a man.

I have thought the same thing mate, but you have to think about it real hard. Once you shave it, you will always have to shave it. It might become very annoying, and the hair seems to grow back thicker
