You should not need to get the morning after pill, if your period has started. But was your period due this week? If so your lucky, but you need to be aware could have picked an nasty STD, so next time try to use a condom.

Yes I know they are gross and horrible, but better to use them than have a nasty STD. Or use another form of contraception.

Sorry for the lecture

NO! Do not get a morning after pill, it does the same thing as an abortion : kills a human life.
You most likely are not pregnant, but in the extremely low chance that you are, it was meant to be and if you don't want a child, give it up for adoption.

Honestly, I would talk to a physician; call your OBGYN and get their opinion. A hypothetical question...why intend to put yourself through the effects of the morning after pill?? Just protect yourself! Get the pill, the sponge, an IUD, a condom, a tubal ligation...abstinance?? I certainly hope it wasnt rape---if it was, definitely make an appointment with your OBGYN and file the incident with authorities.

You can still be pregannt even if you get your period. My friend had her period for 6 months while pregant!
Take the pill. And please out of respect for yourself do not engage in unprotected sex. besides unwanted preganancy, You also increase your risk of getting an STD!!!

Your period is not a safe guard against HIV or any other STD. NEVER EVER EVER have unsafe sex unless you are totally prepared to deal with the consequences.

Chances are if a normal period ensues you are safe, that does not mean you did not pick up a STD however.

you could still get preggers, but the odds are pretty high. But why make yourself worry? Use protection EVERY time you have sex.
