People all over the world are starveing. Sounds to me like she was just making the statement "that not only people in africa are poor". Its a little rude to only point out africa.

they aren't rude they are just ignorant, because Africa is always the first country that comes to mind when people talk about starving children, but there is also starving children in India, China, and even in America

sometimes people just say it as a point. like if their kids don't eat all their food or someone wastes something. But the sad thing is that most of the help that those people are getting isn't help at all. The US sends them seeds and things. and the seeds are designed so that they won't reseed. so then the poor people become dependent having to buy their seeds every year from the government. and they sell mothers baby formula which prevents the babies from getting much needed vitamins and immunities to disease or parasites from their mothers milk. Which means the mother's will probably have to buy baby shots as well now that their baby can't fight off diseases with formula milk. And now babies have to get 4 shots. the government is helping, but are they really by what they are doing. let alone what they do here that so many people don't know about. like 8 year old girls getting their period because of drinking cow milk with growth hormones in them.

Yes she is sensitive, but you would be to if people were always talking about how poor your Country was.Asking people to send money to help the starving but knowing that only a small portion of the money really goes towards feeding them. That in it self would make her sensitive to that.

She's sensitive. She would probably like Africa to be known for something positive and not just poverty and starvation.
