FAUXTOGRAPHY is basically real photography that is taken and is then edited. It usually still looks real, but in actuallity, it is fake. This is used a lot with models and even used on Katie Couric once to make her appear slimmer.

Very simply.... the word itself tells the story.. FAUX(meaning falsse) and then photography.. thus, false photograpyy.... We do this all the time in photoshop studies.. taking a normal picture and then making it into something that is not.. a false picture
