ok i am 17 VERY shy, never had a boyfriend, or been kissed, not that good looking. sad i know. i have always has crushs but never told anybody how i felt. but now i have a guy friend that i have knew for awhile. i have liked him for about a year now but never said anything. we got like kind of close last year and were even working together. everyone said i liked him but i would tell them no cause i was to shy to let him know. i was hoping for him to ask me out. i quit that job but thats another story. so we kind of dont see much of each other anymore. we are in a crew together and see each other at meetings and camp outs. my liking of him has gone farther then a crush. i want to tell him how i feel but i dont want to ruin the friendship or make him uncomfortable around me. he is leaving next year for the navy. my question is should i tell him or not?

Love is a hard thing to hide. He probably already knows how you feel but because you have given mixed signals he's tentative about ratcheting up the relationship.
I would say tell him. Maybe ask him to go for a walk in the park or to the beach and just casually reach over and take his hand. It's a big move for a shy person I know, but some times you just have to go for it.

How do you know he isn't thinking the same thing and is also too shy to say anything? You need to tell him. I would hate for you to have regrets 5 or 10 years down the road. You only live once.

Yes! You might be happy to find he cares for you too. And if he
dosen't he will always be your friend. You don't want to waste time especially if he is leaving next year, this could be your only

no. let him go his way and you go yours, most people make grave mistakes at your age that last a lifetime. you have plenty of time in you life to grow. take one day at a time and learn to grow and repsect youself. you will be glad that you did ten years from now. you need to grow into beauty and maturity.
