increase the carrying capacity.
more food means you can support a larger population.
although reproduction increases because more members are being born but the reproductive rate remains fairly constant.

If it is a choice of the above, "C" or "A", depending on the definition of carrying capacity. If it means a greater population is possible, then that's the answer "C". If something else, then "A".
