Well, my husband bought me a Build-A-Bear for Valentine's Day the year we met. His name is Batoot (my nickname) And yeah, we defenitely treat him like our son. We take care of him and make sure he's under the covers with us. And we make sure he's not too cold. And we take him with us whenever we go somewhere for an extended period of time :)

Either this is common or we're both slightly off our rockers.

No, I've never done that! (Maybe with real pets, but not stuffed animals.)

I think you're slightly off your rockers, but as long as you and your BF are getting a kick out of it, then it's all good! Enjoy your beloved little Turtle! Rock on!

I've had a rather large stuffed monkey for about 45 years. I've hauled that guy all over the world. My friends are jealous of the places he's been! He really is my oldest and best bud!!

hey, nothing wrong with that. i have a bear and it's been almost 10 years since i had him. and i treat it like my child. i dont let anyone touch him and i sleep with him every night. i got so mad cause my mom threw him in the washing machine..which i told her he has to be dry cleaned, and the fur got bunched up and nasty and i screamed my lungs out at her.

I have never heard of adults doing this (only kids), but if it makes you all very happy having a second childhood, go for it.

we personally do not, we have a real one and he drives us nuts!!! but i guess it is kinda cool to have a stuffed one because u don't have to feed him, change him or listen to him whine. if that is what floats ur boat i would think it was better than going out and having a real one!!!
