I got this letter from dwight d.eisenhower biulding and it said i was invited to travel and study in France Italy and Malta in 2007 it's educational and life changing. My mom said if i bother her about this i cant go and i want this so bad i havent mentioned it twice. She says she is going to have to think about it because i might get homesick and i will be gone for 20 days and there might be terrorists or the planes might crash. If you have/had a child that got this letter would you let them go?

There are many things to consider, she is only concerned for your safety. I can't honestly tell you , that I would send one of my Grands. During this time with the war, and the world being in so much chaos's.
If you really want to go more than anything, you'd better show her how important this is to you and that you could be responsible to watch after the one, your mom loves very much. Very difficult decision.

Hell yeah i would let them go, you only live once and its a chance of a lifetime. Homesick in 20 days, i highly doubt it, home will be the last thing on your mind while in Europe.
