Mine have got to be from country band Broken Family Band. From 'Alone in the Make Out Room.'

'I want you to move to Australia,
with me a sucess and you facing failure,
And all of your friends that you had ignoring your calls.'

I just love the spite and venom in that song! And its got such a lovely tune!

Way We Were Try To Remember By Glady's Night....so Beautiful

Hey you know everybody's talkin' about the good old days
Everybody the good old days
The good old days
Well, let's talk about the good old days

Come to think about it
As bad as we think they are
These will become the good old days of our children
Why don't we try to remember
The kind of September
When life was slow and oh so mellow
Try to remember
And if you remember
Then follow
Why does it always seem the past is better
We look back and think
The winters were warmer
The grass was greener
The skies were bluer
The smiles were brighter
Can it be that it was all so simple then
Or has time rewritten every line
And if we had the chance to do it all again
Tell me
Would we?
Could we?

Memories like the corners of my mind
Memories
Misty watercolor memories
Of the way we were
Scattered pictures of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were

Oh can it be that it was all so simple then
Or has time rewritten every line
And if we had the chance to do it all again
Tell me
Would we?
Could we?

Memories may be beautiful and yet
What's too painful to remember
We simply choose to forget
So it's the laughter we'll remember
We'll remember
Whenever we remember
The Way We Were...

When There Was Me and You

It's funny when you find yourself
Looking from the outside
I'm standing here
But all I want is to be over there
Why did I let myself believe
Miracles could happen
’Cause now I have to pretend
That I don’t really care
CHORUS
I thought you were my fairytale
My dream when I’m not sleeping
A wish upon a star that’s coming true
But everybody else could tell
That I confused my feelings with the truth
When there was me and you
I swore I knew the melody
That I heard you singing
And when you smiled
You made me feel
Like I could sing along
But then you went and changed the words
Now my heart is empty
I’m only left with used-to-be’s
And once upon a song
CHORUS
I know you’re not a fairytale
And dreams are meant for sleeping
And wishes on a star
Just don’t come true
And now even I can tell
That I confused my feelings with the truth
Because I liked the view
When there was me and you
I can’t believe that I could be so blind
It’s like you were floating
While I was falling
And I didn’t mind
Because I like the view
I thought you felt it too
When there was me and you

My keyboard skills are not up to much so it will not be the complete sheet but just my fave bit from the song " big bang came along , shot down the rising sun " from the Manhattan project by Rush they are always good for a deep lyric also on a lighter note from Queen "The faerie folk are gathered round the new moon shine to watch the fella crack the nut at nights noon -time" from the Faerie Fella,s Masterstroke off the wonderfully quirky Queen 2 album one of their best albums! Has music for all tastes

"Bless The Broken Road"- Rascal Flatts

I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you
Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

I think about the years I spent just passing through
I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true

Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

Now I'm just rolling home
Into my lover's arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you.

"Life Is A Highway"- Rascal Flatts

Life's like a road that you travel on
When there's one day here and the next day gone
Sometimes you bend sometimes you stand
Sometimes you turn your head to the wind
There's a world outside every darkened door
Where blues won't haunt you anymore
Where brave are free and lovers soar
Come ride with me to the distant shore
We won't hesitate
Break down the garden gate
There's not much time left today

Life is a highway
I wanna ride it all night long
If you're going my way, well
I wanna drive it all night long

Through all the cities and all these towns
It's in my blood and it's all around
I love you now like I loved you then
This is the road and these are the hands
Come on Baby this is Memphis night
The khyber Pass to Vancouver's lights

Knock me down get back up again
You're in my blood
I'm not a lonely man
There's no load I can’t hold
Road so rough this I know
I'll be there when the light comes in
Just tell 'em we're survivors

Gimme gimme gimme gimme yeah
If you're going my way
I wanna drive it all night long
There was a distance between you and I
A misunderstanding once
But now we look in the eye

There ain't no load that I can't hold
Road so rough this I know
I'll be there when the light comes in
Just tell 'em we're survivors

Life is a highway
I wanna ride it all night long
If you're going my way
I wanna drive it all night long

green day: holiday

Say! Hey!

Hear the sound of the falling rain
Coming down like an armageddon flame (Hey!)
The shame, the ones who died without a name

Hear the dogs howling out of key
To a hymn called Faith and Misery (Hey!)
And bleed, the company lost the war today

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
On holiday

Hear the drum pounding out of time
Another protestor has crossed the line (Hey!)
To find, the money's on the other side

Can I get another Amen? (Amen!)
There's a flag wrapped around a score of men (Hey!)
A gag, A plastic bag on a monument

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
On holiday

hey!

3, 4!

The representative from California has the floor...
sieg hiel to the president gasman,
Bombs away is your punishment!
Pulverize the Eifle towers,
who criticize your governments!
Bang bang goes the broken glass and,
Kill all the fags that don't agree!
trials by fire, setting fires,
is not a way thats meant for me
Just cause, (hey! hey!)
Just cause,cause we're outlaws, yeah!

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies,
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives,
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies,
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives...

From: "I'll Never Fall In Love Again"

What do you get when you kiss a guy?
You get enough germs to catch pneumonia.
And when you do,
He'll never phone ya.

Pure genius written by Hal David, music by Burt Bacharach and recorded by loads of artists. Go for the Bobby Gentry version.

At the moment it would have to be Green Day. 'Jesus of Suburbia'

'Dearly beloved are you listening?
I can't remember a word that you were saying
Are we demented or am I disturbed?
The space that's in between insane and insecure
Oh therapy, can you please fill the void?
Am I retarded or am I just overjoyed
Nobody's perfect and I stand accused
For lack of a better word, and that's my best excuse'

Better green than brown.:-)

But my all time fav has to be The Police. Walkingin your Footsteps.
'Hey Mr. Dinosaur
You really couldn't ask for more.
You were God's favorite creature,
But you didn't have a future'

Ripple Grateful Dead

If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine
And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung,
Would you hear my voice come thru the music,
Would you hold it near as it were your own?

Its a hand-me-down, the thoughts are broken,
Perhaps theyre better left unsung.
I dont know, dont really care
Let there be songs to fill the air.

Ripple in still water,
When there is no pebble tossed,
Nor wind to blow.

Reach out your hand if your cup be empty,
If your cup is full may it be again,
Let it be known there is a fountain,
That was not made by the hands of men.

There is a road, no simple highway,
Between the dawn and the dark of night,
And if you go no one may follow,
That path is for your steps alone.

Ripple in still water,
When there is no pebble tossed,
Nor wind to blow.

But if you fall you fall alone,
If you should stand then whos to guide you?
If I knew the way I would take you home.
