How do you test enable a cell phone?

Does anyone know how? I know you can send it away and have a company do it, but I was hoping to find a way to do it myself.

Nope, can't do that. You have to take it to the service provider and have it activated there.

If it's a GSM phone, you might be able to buy a prepaid SIM card and use that to test it.

I have Verizon and i called there costumer service and the test that from there computer. More than likely you will have to call and wait 5 hours for some unfriendly person to answer your call.
I hope this helped to an extent.
