A good site to check out is http://www.tongs.com. They ship to Canada. Are you planning on handling any venomous snakes like rattlesnakes? Be sure someone has taught you how to safely use the tongs to handle dangerous snakes. I would also suggest buying a set of snake tubes for increased safety. Be sure you use the correct diameter tube to ensure the snake cannot turn around inside the tube and bite you. Again, have someone show you safe and correct technique.
And for those people that try to answer questions without having the correct knowledge, they are NOT just ordinary tongs...they are designed for safe handling of snakes - safety both for the snake and the handler.

Contact the nearest nuclear plant and ask where they buy their Pilstrom tongs. Although designed for handling radioactive material, they work very well with snakes.

Don't have a clue, but snake hooks and loops are readily available at many outdoors stores and outfitters.

Go to a pet store. I am not familiar with Canada but my suggestion is to try a pet store...good luck

Yeah, you can buy them in Hardware at Wal-Mart. They're just ordinary tongs....
