In the US, temperature is commonly measured by degrees Fahrenheit. In Europe and in the scientific community, it's measured by degrees Celsius.

In Cryogenics its measured in degrees Kelvin. Absolute 0 = 0
degrees Kelvin.
Other temperature measurements are in Centigrade (aka Celsius) Fahrenheit and Reaumur.

It depends on the place of the Earth you want to measure in Brazil and in most of countries it's measured by the Celsius' system of degrees from 0º to 100º in USA uses the Farenheit system.

There are three scales of measurement that I am aware of used for measuring temperature.

Farenhiet - which is an ordinal scale
Centigrade - again an ordinal scale
Calvin - a ratio scale
