I do not know what Element is, but I do like American Eagle a lot. They are a little bit on the pricier side though, even if it's on clearance. They do have really cheap things sometimes.

I'd say American Eagle if you want quality and preppy, and Element if you prefer the skater look. I personally wear A&E.

American Eagle! I'm not really preppy or anything, but I think their clothers are comfy and affordable. Oh, and their cute too!
