its not easy i know i moved back to new york after being gone for 9 years. i lived here all my life other than those 9 years. but we all know things change. it is nice that you have made an effort to make friend with the moms at your daughters school. i think that you should keep trying, don't give that up. but what about where you live? try introducing your self to some of the people that live around you. take your daughter to the local playground you might meat some people there as well. just don't give up it will take some time. and you said that you left your job. maybe you should get some kind of work a few days a week. just so that you can have some adult conversation.

Why don't u and your husband join a bowling league & you can team up with other players. You'll get to know people that way. If your husband don't want to go, you could still join by yourself. It's better I think though - if both of you go. Most people that have kids and a spouse -don't have time to find friends. Maybe your husband isn't spending enough time with you. I think it's better if your spouse is your best friend. You can also have a party for your child & they can bring their friends over & you can meet their mothers that way. If your child has no friends, then you should try to get your child involved in something so they can play with other kids.

Hey no it's not pathetic at all, acctually I have the same problem I have found friends but they use me so I haven't had anything to do with them, I have no problem with older people but people my own age I just can't because there either compleat tarts or guys that think there to good for me.
I really want to know what I do wrong but I'm really friendly so I have no idea so yes I know how you feel.

Go out and meet some of the neighbors. You sound like a sweetheart of a person and not the least bit pathetic. If you were anywhere near OC, CA, I'd love to be your friend. Keep smiling....this won't last forever! :))

have ur kids to have a party and u could meet new friends through the mothers because u could nake it a party where the kids play outside and the grown-ups have fun inside. Or u could take up an activity such as sewing, cooking, book club and u could make new friends.
