I know how to use Bluetooth and share/send between other cell phone users. But I always wondered: since you cannot send ringtunes that you download and pay for to other people, how do my friends have ringtunes on their phone that they can send to me? Did they unlock them or get them free?

You can easily create your own ringtone...from any song!
Most cellphones use mp3's for ringtones (especially the newer ones).
You can download a free program like Audacity on the internet, and edit any mp3 to be a clip you want for a cellphone.

Audacity can be downloaded from download.com here:

It is very easy to use.

Then, you can send the clip you make to your cellphone via email...and share it with anyone you want.

Or, personally, I have a pocket pc that syncronizes with my computer. I simply sync the mp3 clip I created, and then send the file via IR to my cellphone!

Hope it works for you, too!
