Yes because there are employees working each table at a buffet (putting out dinnerware, bringing/refilling water glasses, sometimes taking your order for drinks and bringing them (depends on the buffet), clearing your table, etc. Sometimes some of those things are done by the diners, but the workers still clear the tables. They have to make a living like everyone else. Nice of you to ask.

You should leave a 10% tip at a buffet for the people that clear the table and some of them refill your glasses.

If the servers clear your dirty dishes by the time you get back with your next plate-full, I personally leave a dollar or two (per person at the table). Those people live on tips and in a buffet situation, they don't get much OR get a chance to other than clearing your table before you get back with more food.

I always leave a couple of dollars. Even though you are getting your own food, people are still coming by and picking up your empty plates and bringing you drinks. I don't leave nearly as much as I would in a full service restaurant, but you are getting service and it is nice to leave a little something.

Yes because even though you serve your own food there is still a waiter type person who asks you how the food is, cleans the table after you eat and washes dishes. It doesn't have to be a big tip but I would still leave one.

if the staff is attentive in removing your empty dishes, offers to refill your beverage, you know, makes theirself useful but not a pest then yes a small one but certainly not on the normal scale.
