Corezink--Then how is our free will different than that of a prisoner?---I don't think you have thought this out very well.

Shirleyki---If you are bribed, rewarded,or threatened and tortured, you don't have a free will,

It's like saying"you may have this FREE candy as soon as you pay for it".

If you have to pay the consequences of your choices, then your choices were not FREE.---they were simply choices, like those made by slaves.

Be honest. Don't cloose your mind to the difference between will and free will in order to protect your self-serving belief.

Even though my head is still spinning from the first answer, Ill take a stab at it....

Every person has free will to make the right decisions....or not. We all have someone to answer to. Some more than others, Children to their parents, slaves to their masters. For most of us, it is God.

For every move you make in life, you make a choice. You either reep the rewards, or you pay the consequences.

You question is very contradictive of it's self. God allows man to be a free thinking individual. Man is the culprit in slavery and being a slave doesn't take away a persons free thinking spirit within. I really don't think you have thought this out too much.

We are born with free will, it's man that takes that away by your own admission, slaves and children.
It was man who said they couldn't make choices not God. So how is the free will God gave us meaningless?

free will concists of what exists in the mind. When we are unable to act out our freely made choices then our free will is impugned, this does not remove it in the slightest though. The theistic "god" cannot be held responsible for causal principles

Satan is our accuser (Rev. 12:9,10) Passing blame around is a quality of sinful people, not a characteristic of God. (Genesis 3:8-13) God's gifts to us only become meaningless when we use them in disobedience, because then they are unable to operate for our good.

Exactly! And if we don't believe in God, then how can we ourselves be blamed for not believing when God was the one who didn't allow us to believe in the first place? It wasn't a choice we made.
