For A, the LCD is 40 because 20 and 40 both divide evenly into 40.

For B, the LCD is the multiplication of BOTH denominators.

So, LCD = 3x^3 TIMES 2x^5 = 6x^7 or simply (3x^3) (2x^5).

For B, 6x^5 would work. Both 3 and 2 are factors of 6, and x^3 would divide into x^5.
