A trapline consists of a path that has traps set along it to catch animals for the trapper (usually for the animal furs to sell or meat to eat). The route the trapper follows is called the trapline.

A Trapper - person who traps animals for furs - sets up a trapline. It is a series of traps that are set at different places along a path or a route. The trapper sets the traps then goes back at scheduled times to see if any animals were trapped.
