does anyone know of an interesting geographical issues in america. i need one to do my sose report on. i have looked and looked but none interest me. one of my friends is doing the KKK and gangs in La. anyone know of a good interesting topic?

To the answer above: It wasn't Florida's earthquake but rather in the Gulf of Mexico. It wasn't their earthquake. Nothing's out of Earthquake zone. And it believed pressure build up in the middle of
the plate caused it.
I'm not sure what would be a good one. Taqlk abolut Californias over due quake, or a threat of a Tsunami for the North West. Or talk about the 1906 quake or Loma Prieta earthquake.

Why not something about how the geography of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast affected the damage caused by Hurricane Katrina?

You could talk about the tectonic plates, about the one that could separate LA from the rest of America. The damage that it has done over the years and what could happen in the future.

You could try to do one on why and how FLORIDA just had it's 1st earthquake THAT i'VE EVER HEARD OF AND i'M 53YOA !!! FL was thought to be "out of any earth quake zones !!! And find out what this could possibly mean to the North American Continent !!!
