I agree that Newfoundland is amazing.... so much so that I had to move here. The icebergs are gorgeous in many ways. One is because of the fact that they are huge chunks of ice that somehow survived a treck down from the arctic and continue to survive past Newfoundland. And you can only see a small portion of the iceberg. There is so much that lies beneath the water. Some people go out in their little boats to get the ice to melt down. It is supposed to be the best tasting water you can get. The danger is that the berg can flip at any moment. It is so unstable. So, I guess, for me a lot of the beauty comes from the fact that they are amazing to behold and comprehend. What a sight!

Oh yes.

It is amazing sitting on the shore in July, having a picnic and watching the icebergs float by. It is hard to explain if you haven't seen it.

And I agree, NFLD is truly amazing as are the people.

WE were just there and it was a clear beautiful dya, but we didn't see any icebergs.
