The positive line is really faint. Is this okay? An HPT tells you exactly one thing: your urine either has detectable pregnancy hormone in it, or it doesn't. The darkness or lightness of a line doesn't mean much. Generally speaking, a very light line can mean there is a small amount of hCG in your urine, and a very dark line can mean there is a larger amount of hCG in your urine. This is why you may get a faint positive at 10 DPO but a darker positive at 18 DPO. However, this is not always true. Tests are all different, and even tests in the same box may differ in sensitivity. Comparing light/dark lines will just drive you nuts. If you see a line in the "results" window, you're preg!

Or go to the doctor for a blood test, you will have to anyhow for pre-natal care cause you are proably pregnant. Good luck

Pregnancy symptoms differ from woman to woman and pregnancy to pregnancy; however, one of the most significant pregnancy symptoms is a delayed or missed menstrual cycle. Understanding pregnancy symptoms is important because each symptom may be related to something other than pregnancy. Some women experience pregnancy symptoms within a week of conception. For other women, symptoms may develop over a few weeks or may not be present at all. Below is a listing of some of the most common pregnancy symptoms.
Implantation Bleeding:
Implantation bleeding can be one of the earliest pregnancy symptoms. About 6-12 days after conception, the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall. Some women will experience spotting as well as some cramping.
Other Explanations: Actual menstruation, altered menstruation, changes in birth control pill, infection, or abrasion from intercourse.
Delay/Difference in Menstruation:
A delayed or missed menstruation is the most common pregnancy symptom leading a woman to test for pregnancy. When you become pregnant, your next period should be missed. Many women can bleed while they are pregnant, but typically the bleeding will be shorter or lighter than a normal period. This symptom is commonly explained by other reasons. If you have been sexually active and have missed a period, it is recommended that you take a test

That is how both of my pregnancy tests turned out. Now I have two beautiful kids. One line was dark purple and the other line was faintly pink. I waited a few more days and took another brand...the same thing happened.
Sometimes you can still be pregnant and have a period. The question to ask yourself would be "Was my last period normal? Did I bleed normally and did it last the same amount of time it usually does?"
Are you having other pregnancy symptoms? Fatigue? Breast tenderness?
Go to a doctor and have them do a urine/blood test to test your HCG levels (pregnancy hormone levels).

It's very possible. When I took a home pregnancy test (First Response, I think.) I had a dark pink line and a light pink line. It turned out I was pregnant. Hope this helps.

If you have not had sex since your last period then you can't be pregnant. Unless you fooled around and semen somehow got inside of you.
Read the instruction on the test and figure out what the lines mean. Every test is different.

If you had your period after you had sex, how could you be pregnant the following month?
It could be stress.
You need to ask yourself if you should be having sex (at least for now). Maybe you should hold off until you're sure you can handle what might happen if you're "not careful."
Be careful... and take care.
