Do you support or oppose the Iraq War? Why? If you support, where are we going? If you oppose, how do we get the troops out?

The war was the only choice given the options we faced. We had waited years for UN sanctions to prevent Saddam from being a threat to his neighbors and the region. It didn't work. We wanted the unfettered inspection of his weapon making capabilities to work. They didn't. He was obviously trying to cover up something. Then while just coming off the heels of 9-11-01 we couldn't risk Saddam teaming up with the Al-Qaeda types to deliver a weapon to ours or an ally country. Saddam was an opportunist. I don't doubt for a second that he would have attempted something like this if he felt he could get away with it.

Also, remember we were operating on intelligence gathered by other nations (as well as our own). The world thought he had Weapons of Mass Destruction or at least the capabilities to produce them relatively quickly. This wasn't Bush cooking the intelligence. Heck, even the Clinton Administration had "regime change" as its official stance against Saddam.

I believe that the Iraq War was unnecessary. We didn't find any Mass destruction weapons as the Bush Stated so strongly. We havwe lost a lot of Military service mens and women to this non necessary war. Where is the person that we started at located now. We are still losing unnecessary service mens and women everyday after Bush said to the public that the war was over. we need to bring our troops home as soon as possible. I have no idea how to create a plan to get our troops back home. Bush should come up with this because he was the one who send then over there in the first place.

I think it was a terrible idea to go to Iraq. But the facts are, we are there. I am scared for our wonderful men and women over there fighting in a country that doesn't want us there. I don't think there is a simple answer for this HUGE problem. Iraq is a disaster. Our nation's children are dying everyday. The job of a leader is to NEVER put our kids in harms way unless absolutely necessary. I want our troops to come home. But if we leave without a plan things will be worse there, and we will be producing terrorists. I wish I had a great answer how to bring our soldiers home...but I don't. What I do know is if it's up to George our troops will just keep dying till there is none of them left.

God Bless America, Bring our troops home.

The truth in my opinion is that man has not learnt from history when it comes to Iraq and the middle East in general. The residents of the middle east have been at war since the days of the crusades. The residents of Iraq were and are fearless warriors as well as their neighbours to the northeast, the Afganistan population.......These fearless warriors were supported by the US government when in the case of Afganistan. was invaded by the Russians...... The Afgans kicked the Russians out of their country and as well, George Bush senior and Ron Ragan supported most of the past and present day leaders (who are now the United State's greatest adversaries.Bin Laden and Sadam........ The fact is, war in the middle east is a war that cannot be won by the US...... the war in Iraq will and is draining the life out of the US as we speak..... The US spends a Billion dollars a day fighting a war that is killing the very spirit of the United States by sending are poor, darks, hispanics. to fight the war and have them come back in body bags....... do the same as in Viet Nam,,,,,,, put your tail between your legs and bail out...... it is a war that was not won a thousand years ago when it started with the Crusades......... it is wise to always learn from the past.... and it looks like the US is falling into the same quagmire......and into the same historical trap.........

I support the war in Iraq. I just wish we would do the right thing and just carpet bomb the whole damn country and be done with it. I don't care about the so called inocent people. I can't belive you people think the way you do. If you are captured by a terrorist he probably will not spare your life he will cut your head off. You all need to get your heads out of the sand and wake up and smell the coffe.

Saddam had the weapons and right before the war shipped them to Syria on commercial airliners. Bush was the 200 person to say they existed. The UN half the world and even playboy Clinton was concerned about the wmd in Iraq. Liberals are simple minded crybabies who would trash their own country because they are angry that they cannot get one of their own elected.

This war was not well thought out. It has been counter-productive in the much more important war against terrorism. Though the removal of Saddam Hussein seems like it would have been a good idea, in effect it has been the removal of a relatively benign and stable problem, for a much more dangerous, destructive and fluid threat.

Yes it was the right thing to do. And it still is. All that is needed for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing.

What would people have said had Chamberlain and Roosevelt invaded Germany in 1938? Probably the same as they're saying about Iraq today. Let's take a look:

“The war in Germany was not necessary.”

“This war was not well thought out. Though the removal of Adolf Hitler seems like it would have been a good idea, it has been the removal of a relatively benign and stable problem for a much more dangerous threat.”

“I believe that the War with Germany was unnecessary. We didn't find any WMD or V-2's as Roosevelt stated.”

“It is not a war. It was a cowardly, unprovoked attack against a defenseless Germany.”

“The blood of these German people is flowing in the hand of Pres Roosevelt.”

“Please people, what were you thinking voting Roosevelt in again?”

“I don't think it [fighting Hitler] was good or any of our business.”

“I think it was a terrible idea to go to Germany.”

AS BUSH SAYS:
We don't have all the facts. We need to see all the facts. We need to stay the course. The main part of the battle is over. Look at the bulge this flight suit makes in the front of my pants. I am a stud. Nobody threatens my Father. I am a bad man. I torture people. I want facts. I need answers before I can say if the war is going well or not.
