BOTH!!! Any musician has a gift and talents like no other. I played alto sax in highschool, but have always wanted to learn to play guitar, piano, and violin. I can't pick a favorite!

Electric guitar...for the simple reason, you can play the guitar ( any type ) electric or acoustic, steel or nylon strings...play by yourself ( solo ), with a group and play anytime, anyplace...the saxaphone is only limited to where/what you can play, and who you can play with. Both are good instruments though. It'll all depend what kind/type of music you guys are going to get into. Is it jazz, rock-n-roll, contemporary...you will play? Whatever it is...the beat goes on... : )
