Nothing should happen. Any animal that lunges at anyone is dangerous. Don't you watch the news? People are killed all the time by dogs who lunge/bite.

Police officers have the right to shoot any animal if they feel it will harm them or anyone else.

The question should be: What should happen to the owners of the dog for keeping a potentially vicious animal?

And yes, I would feel the same way if it was my dog. I put my dog down for snapping at my 6 year old son. No animal is more important than a person.

I truly have participated in numerous seek warrants and that i think that that's rather unusual for a regulation enforcement officer to circulate into the incorrect sources. even with this that's unlucky that a canine replaced into killed, a police officer has the ideal to preserve himself against an attack. In New Zealand we use pepper spray or discharge a hearth extinguisher which often does the trick. We truly have an element of regulation that states that no officer would be held in charge for shooting a canine case in point till that's shown that the officer acted devoid of life like reason. people who've seen a canine tear aside somebody's arm might comprehend why this action replaced into taken.

He should be held responsible only for his role. Did he go to the wrong address? Or was he sent to the wrong address? What was he thinking when he entered the house? Did he think that there was crazed dog there? Was he looking for am armed individual? Police officers are human too. They do make mistakes.

He should have to apologize, pay for the damages and all mental health care involved. (Or at least the agency involved should have to.)

But should he do time? NO! He I am sure feels bad about the dog. And you should not be ridiculous.

You also make mistakes. We all do! Give him the chance to be human.

There is an eraser on my pencil. There is a back button on my browser. And I have used them both frequently, I bet you have too.

One other thing, if you get into trouble, it might be him that comes to save your life! Your rmom's, your dad's, or your little sister. Understand?

They will almost never end up in the wrong house, they are very carful about that. And if the dog lunges at them they are not going to stand there like a moron till the dog rips them apart. They are going to shoot it.

Nothing should happen to the officer. If they busted in they did so for a reason. And if the dog is killed it is better than a human beings throat getting ripped out...and I am a dog lover.

You have no idea the stress and dangers an officer faces every day. He puts his life on the line ever second he is on duty...and often when he is off.
Will he make mistakes? Of course he will. He is human.
And what is his reward for protecting people...wimps like you whining.
