I am having sharp stomach pains in the upper, middle/left of my abdomen. It comes and goes, but is very sharp. It comes with naseua. Any ideas? If so, what should I do to treat it?

Problems with the organs in the abdominal region i.e. the digestive system, liver, gall bladder,pancreas, appendix and kidney could be the main reasons for a bad stomach ache. Gastroenteritis can give you a severe stomach ache, while stomach pain from cancer may only be mild. 1. Inflamed Pancrease
2. Deferred pain from Gallbladder
3. If stress makes it worse it could be an ulcer
4. Cancer
5. Need to see your DR IMMEDIATELY.

It sounds like diverticulites or diverticulosis. In any event, you should see your doctor. Go on the net and look those up. A change in diet can also help.

Does it happen after you eat? Or just anytime? It could a number of things.

may be you need to eat some more or maybe you at too much or may be you ate something that doesn't settle well in your stomach
