Does this scenario indicate you shouldn't loan your car to just anyone?

Car insurance is not the answer here. Car insurance companies don't want you to have use their services because of accidents. This is why almost all car insurance companies penalize anyone who is charged with an accident, and sometimes terminate their policies. Therefore, not only has your car been damaged, but also your financial integrity and even your (or your parents') credit report. On any level, letting anyone else wreck your car is a stupid move.

It's called peer pressure and if you were little and geeky you would let your friends wreck your car.

Hey, don't tell anyone, but i must have watched Road Trip at least 20 times. I am soooo sad but i think it's hysterical (and I'm 40! How sad is THAT????!!!!)

Kyle was just trying to make friends; that's why he allowed those guys to do those things that seemed to be taking advantage of him. He finally had enough and gained their respect when he stopped trying so hard and was just himself (he even got some Brown Suga).

I'm sure he had car insurance, but he didn't have friends. It was a good trade-off ;-)
