The reason I want an ipod is because it has a lot more and cooler accesories then the mp3 players I've seen. And also because I bought two songs on itunes and I don't think that other mp3s can use songs boughtr on itunes. The reason I want another mp3 player is because they're cheaper. Which one shoul I get? Can mp3 players use songs from itunes?

An Ipod is an mp3 player. If you buy an Ipod you are just buying the name. There are many mp3 players that are as good or better than the Ipod. I am pretty sure you can downlaod music from itunes still, but yahoo I think is cheaper to download music off of.

If you want the BEST mp3 player, go with the dell dj, I think it is the same price as the ipod, but a lot better.

If you want an mp3 player that is the same quality as an Ipod, you'll probably be paying the same price as of an Ipod. Not to mention Ipods make you look pretty good, they're trendy. Go for the Ipod.

I use an mp3 player, but I have most of my songs on disk and rip them myself. I believe you can convert itunes format to an mp3 format. But $ for $ an mp3 play will get you more. ipod 1GB about $70 1GB mp3 player $40 with voice recorder flash disk. Which would mean about $30 for music.

But pick whatever will make you the happiest.

You could burn those two songs to a CD and then import them into your new MP3 player without any problem.

Personally, I like the iPod... I've had a couple different things, but the iPod has great features and is easy to use.

I also wouldn't wait on Microsoft's 'Zune', like most Microsoft products it won't come out as promised.

I would suggest the Sandisk Sansa Clip. It is about the same size as the Shuffle, but it has a nice, bright OLED screen so you can see what you are listening to. It can play music and FM radio, plus it has a built-in voice recorder. You can get it in 4 different capacities, 1, 2, 4, and 8GB for between $35 and $99 depending on the capacity. It also features a built-in belt clip similar to the Shuffle. I have one and I love it.

i personally don't really like the ipods. the reason most people buy them are becuase it's "in". i'd rather buy a cheaper mp3 player that is just as good as the ipod than the ipod itself.

other mp3 players cannot play Apple's .m4a format... but that's only two songs... in November, Microsoft will release the Zune which will blow away everything. Entirely. But, iPods are pretty sweet, I have one. They are all around great.
