You need to sit her down and just tell her you don't give a crap about what she is talking about and you have work to do. if that does not work, the next time she starts talking to you.....break out singing,,,,,,,Mandy...... by Barry Manilow....that will shut her up.

Talk back, make up stories that are better then the ones she comes up with. Pay attention to see if she says something a lot. I knew one who always made a big deal about her itialin heritage and we got her to shut up by mocking her when ever she said it or saying things like "well I tan well because I'm gay" a bit mean but there was literally no other way to make her shut up.

This person has to learn that this is a business office and not a place to gossip. advise her that if she tells you one more story while you are working you will be forced to report her as you work is being negatively affected and this is not acceptable, and she is to cease immediately and NO excuses, she may just up and leave, but you need to express your self and deal with her

Get a large piece of card board and draw a picture of a person with their finger over their mouth place this on you desk facing her. If this doesn't work buy a roll of duck tape and tell her it is going to go on her mouth if she continues to talk.

I might would put a voice activated recorder close to her and let her just talk and the next day put it on her desk and play it back to her. That would be mean, but at least she could hear herself talk all day .. back to her.

yeah just be truthful with her and tell her that you have to do your work and you dont know these people and you would appriciate it if she would refrain from telling you so many stories about these people that you dont know and if that dont help then talk to your boss about it

If you care about her feelings, you should talk to her kindly and tell her to leave you alone for once in a while.

If you Don't care, tell her to: SHUT UP DARN YOU CAN'T YOU SEE THAT I HAVEN'T BEEN LISTENING, SHUT UP, SHUT UP BEFORE I RIP YOUR VOCAL CORDS UP, GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
