Some companies have databases where you can enter a person's name and it will tell you their phone number, where they worked, even their SSN. Or you can enter an SSN and it will tell you those things.

One of them is Accurint, which is a private company. I could understand how they got the address and phone number data, but how do they get people's places of employment, and social security numbers?

They get their info. through the telephone. They call other people or organizations to get info. about us.

Eh, sometimes. I'd say I make initial judgements based on who they hang out with, but I never spread it or solidify my judgement until I personally get to know them.

They have access to credit bureau records. Also, they data mine public records.
