Nowadays black people have the same opportunity as white people but it is very easy to say that white people are more privileged. Why? Because white people have been here (in the U.S.) all their lives and have never been oppressed. Black people started to receive the same privileges less then 100 years ago. There is no doubt that Black people are moving up in the social ladder but it is a ladder that has been dominated by white people. And in case you're wondering if I'm black, no I'm hispanic.

I am from Canada and my viewpoint is based on seeing the US and the ***** community from this vantage point. I believe that the dark people in the US are now making wonderful advances but there is certainly disparity in the inner cities. Violence and peer pressure in schools makes learning difficult in Black neighbourhoods. The darks will have to work together to correct the problem by simply raising the bar of expectations, to dream and then make the dream come through. There is poverty and the Republican Party is a war party wasting precious funds on war and depriving the poor and disinfranchised of their right to proper education and lifestyle. The US and the darks were better off under a Democratic Government... Clinton was an awesome president.... his records will stand the test of time. Bush is a moron and darks will never get a fair chance with him in charge.

I don't know what you mean by taught the same as whites, but when I read history of black and whites, I'm embarrassed to say I am white. We are equal, but I see blacks with a higher sense of values in family, work and all over way of living life, today.

Throughout our history it is a sad fact that blacks have not been taught the same as whites. For many years it was illegal to teach a person of color to read and write. They had children who were allowed to read and write but could not attend school. They had children who could attend school but not good schools. They had children who could attend the same schools as white children but encountered much racism. They had children who went to schools with white, yellow, brown, and tan children and went to college. This generation has nothing to complain about.

In a classroom setting, everyone is being taught the same thing; it is if the individual wants to learn or can learn. Race has nothing to do with it.

NO! Whites have always had better education opportunities than blacks since the begining of time. But that doesnt me that whites are more intelligent than blacks. Blacks and whites have always been seperate in everything if you really think about it!!!

Many blacks are still slaves on the Democrat Plantation.
BUT, many have escaped.
And more will escape each year.

I insist that you take a writing course. You may have something interesting to say but please read your question. It is incomprehensible. I think you are stirring everybody's pot and nothing meaningful can come out of that. Come on, ask a meaningful question.
