I'm proud of where I came from. My GGrand Farther was killing the Zulus during the Borr War for Queen and Country, And my family name has been in these island's since before the romans.
I am very proud of my heritage, But get very annouyed when I see archeologists digging my ancestors up!!!
That comment was made by a man right here on Yahoo after I asked the question, " Why are white people so defensive?"
I must say, this as*#@le is the most HONEST I've ever heard in my entire life! I really think that he is better than the average white person just because he had nothing to hide......I made the biggest mistake by not marking him the best to comment my question, so I would like to contribute this NEW open question in honor of his honesty and biggotry.

In a society where being "proud" of being white is frowned upon I say to heck with what everyone thinks. Ive been asked if im ashamed of what my ancestors did to the slaves, and I say NO because my ancestors never owned any slaves. Thats like me asking a black person if they are mad at the whole black race because they sold other black people to white people.
I am proud of the accomplishments, and inventions that white people have created. Im not gonna let the stupidity of others keep me from being proud of who I am, and where I come from. Ill fight these double standards thrown at me. I refuse to play race wars though, but at the same time stand up and be proud of who I am. I respect people as a whole, and hope that respect is returned to me. YES IM PROUD TO BE ME!!!

Yes I am proud of being white! Even though here in America it has been for the past 40 years looked down upon to be white. I am proud that we as whites have come a long way in releasing our prejudiced views. I just wish that blacks could be as proud of the same thing. Most still HATE whites for something that they did not do. For feelings that they do not have. They stand behind being black to take advantage of people of all colors. Including their own. They accept no responsibility for their actions. The people that enslaved them have been dead of hundred of years now. They need to get over it. They need to take advantage of the opportunities that the have. Because these opportunities are now being taken away from them and given to illegal immigrants. The New Blacks of the USA. Yes I am proud of who I am. I am an American. I am a father. I am a hard working man. And I happen to white. If you are the same only black, brown, or yellow, I am proud of you too!

Well, I would not call it pride or being proud; because people of European descent seem to have a double standard when it comes to being prideful of their ancestory. But I do honor and love my multi European and Native American ancestors.
