Well that depends on how much money you have to spend
If you do the maintenance required you will have years and years of pleasure driving and lest time with me the mchanic.
Change the oil and puit distilled water in the radiator.
Get yourself a data car book and wright down all the things you do to the car.
When it comes time to sell it you can get more money for it since you can show just what you did to it as long as you have had it
You will still have to see us once in a while, but less often if you just do the things that are required.
Hope this helps

Low mileage Hondas and Toyotas are pretty good, the newer Hyundais aren't bad either. I hate to say it, but not many domestics are all that great(in the trade 40+ years). I love our North American cars, but the past few years haven't been good ones.I like the new Chryslers, the Mustang is a favorite, the new Monte Carlo isn't bad either. All in all, you need to realistic in terms of your expectations and finances and work from there in choosing a car.

This is such a subjective question. Kind of like saying "I like strawberry rather than raspberry because ..."
There are several recommendations that can be made, but what are the criteria?
New or used (& how old)
What is in the budget?
Do you need a little car for going to school, or a family sedan for 5 kids?
Is import vs American important?
With these questions answered, go to consumer reports.com, and check what their research has uncovered.

Good Luck

toyota in general is very good
as are most jap cars and trucks
if you are looking for domestic my opinion is MOST V8 RWD machines are almost as good but please keep this in mind follow the engines and trans blood lines not the brand just because ford or chevy makes a good truck dont mean that a 92 taurus is worth squat

For long life like 300,000 miles and more...only a Toyota will do. They last forever.

Go for a Japanese car. They are more reliable than american cars and you won't have to take it in to get fixed as much

I'm all for AllAmerican and all... but I hate to admit it, Japcars are kickin our cans.

Honda and Toyota is where it's @. Maybe not the SAFEST, but they last.
