29 Republican congressmen went to Condeleeza Rice and demanded that Dog, Leland and Tim not be extradited to Mexico. Why were no Democrats involved. You can give sacastic answers if you like, that is fun. But I truly want to know why they are not on board to right this injustice. He is a perfect example of a man who has turned his life around.

Dog, Leland and Tim where all arrested by the US Marshalls. Their crime was arresting Max Factor heir Andrew Luster. Luster had been convicted on multiple rape charges but skipped bail and went to Mexico. Dog arrested him them and was himself arrested, bouty hunting is illegal in Mexico.

The US government has now agreed to extradite Dog and his coworkers. The Secretary of State must approve any extradition.

I would like to tell Stuart and the rest of the the apologists for rapists that he was raping Mexican women, I assume that Mexican men have daughters, wives, sisters and mothers. Why did a skip tracer have to do the job of the local Police, why did the local cops ignore their jobs; are they incompetent or corrupt?

JoshJones the reason for this question is to hold the government responsible if they committ an injustice. I am just curious why liberals seem to jusitfy commiting injustice in the name of the law, I thought that was the stereotype of the Right. I am shocked at the liberals who want to support the wealthy rapist. JUSTICE FOR THE DOG

Demoncrats supporting a rich rapist, must be a large contributor! Dog and company should have never been put in this position! They give second and third chances to the people the demoncrats purport to care about!

I think it's just a last ditch effort to hang onto the few swing votes and middle of the road votes that they've lost during this administration. Besides, Dog said that he had reason to think he was being"traded" for something/someone the U.S. wanted, in return for letting him be arrested and taken to Mexico. He was gettting a huge amount of press surrounding those statements, and people were stating to dig deeper and question whether that claim could be valid. I'm sure that this administration doesn't want nor need another scandal, and it's a bit odd that suddenly, other than this question, I've not heard much about this Dog business for awhile. Suddenly everything is so quiet, why? As far as the Dems are concerned, they aren't the majority right now anyways, and if it's being taken care of, why get involved, when things are starting to work out nicely for them anyways, as far as people being quite ready for a regime change. Other than that, I do find it a little wierd they aren't stepping in, or at least weren't the first to do so. Election year, and all the immigration stuff is on the agenda, maybe they are also making an attempt to appeal to more mainstream voters, and don't want to appear soft or hard with their international dealings, esp with Mexico. But as I think about it, it makes sense. It is consistent with the Dems ideology to let other nation's mantain autonomy, and have their own legal processes.

I am not aware of the facts in your statement. BUT, it doesn't surprise me.

Most politicians are lawyers and most lawyers are not interested in what is "morally" right. No, they are interested in what is "politically correct," what appears to be right, what is "within" the law, or "who" is being accused of the crime.

Dogg is a low dollar person... he's not old money or Hollywood rich - these are the types of people that Democrats come from... (just like many republicans - less from Hollywood). Regardless of how good a person Dogg is, or has become, he still is not a "minority." So, any affiliation with him may be considered as being part of a "racist" clique.

Unfortunately, appearance carries more weight than truth in this society. And, Dogg is still a "White Male" at the end of the day -- and our media has told us time and time again that "all white males are evil."

If Dogg were say a different gender and from another ethnic group, his story may make more news and gather more support. Even if Dogg was an evil person (and he's not), if he meet the gender/ethnic check list, he would still get more support.

Said but true - the good old boy networks are not composed of old white males, they are made of Small Minded Anger People. Unfortunately, Dogg is being ignored by one Americas worst good old boy networks - the self righteous Democratic SS.

In the end, Dogg will get out of his Mexican problems as soon as he pays them off -- $$$ controls the Mexican Dictatorship.

...

LOL.

Pardon me but I think what happened wa he made an illegal arrest in another country. Why should he not obey the law? Should he arrest you illegaly should that also be allowed or is it okay not to obey the law as long as it is in a foreign country? Sorry but I think the dog should be liable for whatever laws he breaks the same as the rest of us. There are laws in all countries and if you intend to do business there you should make yourself aware of them. if you choose ot ignore a specific law then you should stand trial for it.

Well, take a look. We have a treaty with Mexico to extradict people who broke the law in Mexico and ran back to the US. Treaties are signed by the President, and then ratified by the Senate, and after that, they are US law. So the US government is obliged to extradict upon request people who have broken Mexico's law, and Mexico is obliged to extradict people who break US law.

Republicans are trying to get round the law and the treaty on "patriotic" principles. The proper procedure should have been to have Mexico arrest the law breaker Luster and have him extradicted to the US, not send private citizens into Mexico to grab him and take him back.

Democrats are adhering to the law and to the treaty we agreed to. And for good reason: if the US does not extradict someone who has broken Mexican law, then when we want a criminal back for prosecution, why should Mexico give him up? What becomes of our word in making treaties, when it is seen that we sign and promise and then do as we please?

Republicans are being blindly nationalistic and they are very unwise in this.

If you notice Dog and his homeboys wear a lot of leather and carry cuffs, mace and other things...

...Democrats only like leather when they're open in the rear and in the form of whips being lashed across their backs....

And lets face it, Dog and his homies are gonna be nailed because they're not "important"- this is all political, and they're going to be sold to Mexico as an offering of the gods of stupidity, to offset the new Homeland Security Border Fence we're building,,,,

Let's see: you said "Dog arrested him them and was himself arrested, bouty hunting is illegal in Mexico..."

Okay. This Dog guy broke the law in Mexico, and a bunch of bleeding heart republicans oh boo hoo don't want him to have to answer for commiting a crime there. But you blame Democrats for not supporting this criminal?

I recall that you DID say, "...bouty hunting is illegal in Mexico."

I sincerely hope that if a Mescan comes to your home here in America and commits a crime against you that the Mescan government won't get all boo hoo with him and not let the US bring him here to answer the charges.

You republicans. Buncha bleeding heart wimps.

I don't know the real reason behind your question but i do know about the situation and saw the show on tv. Don't let these spine-less liberals sway your opinion. The reason Dems don't step up is because they have no backbone. They are best at critizing others instead of taking the lead in anything.
