Sponser a blood drive at a local high school, a battle of the badges (police vs fire.. people donate and pick a side they are donating for) free t-shirts, a drawing for something cool like movie tickets, theme park tix, gas card etc. There are alot of people who cant donate for variouse reasons. If youve had a tat or piercing w/in t he past year, lived in certain areas over seas during a specific time (like me), weight restrictions etc. Good luck

Sad to say, but if ppl were rewarded a cool prize then people would. My wife donates blood all the time at her job. Most people she works with doesnt mess with it! We all should though. We never know when we might need it or when a loved one will. People dont think about stuff like that untill tragedy hits close to home. People only want to do what benifits them. Its sad to say, but its the truth. We need to do it for everyone. If we're breathing we are on the same team! Lets start working together! You have inspired me to sign up to give blood again!

Money, is not the answer most people who are in need of money by selling there blood cant donate blood in the first place. Posters commercials and going to churches lodges and union halls and gettng people to organize in there groups. The key though is to get people proud to donate say its for AMERICA and give out bumper stickers with American flags, tv and radio.give people something to brag about .

Have people who recently received transfusions appear in ads for the Red Cross, asking for more donations.
Give donors a free lottery ticket when the big prize is a few gazillion dollars.
Hire really cute girls to be the walkers that escort the donor from the table to the canteen. The local red cross usually has people so old that I think I'm going to have to help them get there, instead of the other way around.

advertise it, like in my church, in the end of the mass they have like this huge projection screen thingie, and sometimes they advertise these blood donating programs.
