I do things to please my friends, even though they wouldn't do the same for me. Why do I even bother?

Because you care to much! This is who you are. A rose by any other name is still a rose. Good guys finish last. But thats OK because we are busy embracing kindness. It appears that our works go unnoticed but there is always someone looking on. So don't give up your ways, you are here because your a part of the big plan. :)

Are you sure these people are your friends? Try pleasing yourself and stop trying to live your life for everybody else because you are allowing yourself to be played like a puppet on a string. Everyone is having fun but you so stop it right now.

because now ppl judge u by the way u look and the way u dress dont worry how u look i am one of themost unpopular ppl but in my mind i am the most popular person ever and to tell u the truth popular is another word for not having real friends well i hope i helped.

I want you to make a list of what truely makes you happy that you can do for yourself and do it. Some of us just like to give and some of us dont which is nice but give something to yourself as well and dont go out of your way for those who dont appreciate you hun thats just life. Always love yourself 1st or you cant properly love others. Take care.

Honestly, because you are still a child.
You will grow out of this stage.
Even though truley you never do. It is no longer your friends it becomes your boss.

I used to be too. You should read an awesome book by Joyce Meyers called Addiction Approval. And it talks about getting over the need to please everybody
